“Morning’s Melancholy”
Facing dawn's light, a daunting start,
Battling fears that clutch the heart.
Morning rays, relentless and bright,
Yet within, a struggle, an inner fight.
Aches echo in every limb,
Heartache lingers, shadows dim.
Locked in fears that never cease,
Emotions trapped, a desperate release.
Controlling self, a Herculean task,
Letting go, shedding burdens like a mask.
Solitude, an unbidden companion,
Yearning for love, a wound, unison undone.
Ceasing self-manipulation's art,
Desiring a life, a brand-new start.
Yet, it's too hard to face the day,
Too hard to find a peaceful way.
Too hard to wake, too hard to sleep,
Too hard to escape emotions deep.
In this struggle, a poignant art,
Too hard to feel, too hard to depart.
