In the heart of darkness, terror's grip takes hold,
Screams echo through the night, stories left untold..
Families torn apart, lost in the abyss,
I ponder who could commit such heinousness?

In this world deprived of mercy, where God's grace has faded..
I question what transgressions have brought this endless pain?
Are we truly so stained, so inherently evil..
To endure this cruel fate, to walk a path so hostile?

Helplessness prevails, the flames of suffering burn..
The starving, the desperate, their yearning we discern..
As one life begins, another meets its tragic end,
Two facets of our modern world, a dichotomy we contend.

Why do we harbor hatred, why let enmity persist,
When we possess the power to choose, to coexist?
Amidst the chaos and despair, we have the chance to claim,
Peace over anguish, joy over sorrow, to break the cycle's chain..

Yet, where are the healers, the compassionate and kind..
As selfishness abounds in this literary grind?
In a world where self prevails, let us rise above,
Be the beacon of selflessness, share compassion and love..
